100 days[Day 16] Just Copy What Works (and Pitch Boldly Anyway)
I finally finished setting up Docker!
…
Just kidding.
I couldn’t fix the bug, so I grabbed an old config that used to work, copied it over — and boom, everything ran perfectly.
Classic “as long as it runs, it’s fine” move. I’m sure devs out there can relate.
Oh right — yesterday I sent a message to someone pretty big on LinkedIn.
They have around 500k followers and are also the host of a podcast I really love.
I pitched this idea:
'Hey, why not turn your podcast into blog articles? Written summaries help readers get the gist faster, make it easier to share, and give you more engagement too.'
But… still no reply.
It’s been a few days.
Now I’m wondering — what’s a better way to really stand out?
Maybe I should just go ahead and build a sample blog — take a few episodes, turn them into full articles, and send the link like:
'Hey, I didn’t just say it — I already did it. Check it out!'
Hmm… I’ll think about it.
But the idea itself does get me excited.
Also, today I ran into a tricky UI issue:
How can we let users add shipping options for each variant of a product, when right now we only support two types — standard and express — and each row in the UI represents a country?
If we want to allow shipping per variant, the design needs to be intuitive and user-friendly.
Current ideas:
Add a dropdown to list all variants
Allow filtering shipping by variant
Maybe split each shipping row even further?
…Still sketching it out in my head, nothing solid yet.
But anyway — I can feel myself improving every day.
Each bug, each idea, even every message that goes unanswered — it’s all part of the journey.
So I’ll keep going.
